I stepped into “Inner Soul Retreat” for the first time only a few months ago. A new local retreat in Sunbury ( just 20 minutes from Melbourne airport).
A place where like minded individuals can grow, heal and nurture themselves, offering over 40 different natural/alternative therapies such as holistic counselling, meditation, goddess circles, reiki, physic readings and so much more.
Today, I would like to introduce to you all one of the three soul sisters that made it all possible, Louise Humphreys.
The moment I was introduced to Louise at the retreat I could feel her strong energy. An energy that was so full of love for life and other people.
She is compassionate and so much fun! You can just see the light in her face.
In August I completed a certificate in Angelic Reiki with Louise which was a fabulous day.
Louise offers over 20 services at the retreat as well as hosting various events and workshops for the community.

How did you find your way on this path?
About 18 years ago I was working in an office & I was so unhappy I even considered killing myself & then I saw an ad for a massage course at the local TAFE & the rest is history, it opened up a whole new world for me. I think I’ve done a course in something every year since, to build on my foundation of knowledge.

What does your typical day look like?
I’m up at 6am to go for a walk with hubby & dogs, then on Facebook posting the days events, I get to the Retreat around 8.30 as we have meditation at 9.10 & then the day begins at 10, with massages, reiki, or any of my 20 plus treatments that I offer.

What are your non-negotiable daily practices?
Once upon a time my day always started with a meditation, yoga and a ritual of gratitude, but since opening up the retreat this year, I’ve learnt that everything’s negotiable, you have to be flexible & not beat yourself up about what’s not doable anymore, so I fit in what I can, when I can.

What does your day look like on a plate?
Full to overflowing living the life of my dreams.

What lights you up?
Ooh, so many things, Hawaiian lomi lomi massage, Goddess circles, drumming & helping women to heal and move on, would be at the top of my list.

What’s your favourite way to relax & unwind?
Listening to music, reading, writing & being in nature.

What do the words “Love, Light, Wellness” mean to you?
A way to live your life fully.

Favourite quote/affirmation/mantra?
“Let it go, let it go, let it all unravel, set it free, and it will be, a path on which to travel”.

Anything else you’d like to share? Inspiring message? Recipe?
Pure organic coconut oil- for massaging, moisturizing, cooking, brushing your teeth & making you feel like you’re in the tropics when you’re really in cold ole Melbourne.
